Closed captioning for deaf and hard-of-hearing people has been a passion and a big part of my career. I’ve worked as a developer, advocate, educator, and consultant in captioning. I’ve written 3 books and over 50 articles about it, and been granted 3 U.S. patents.
I’ve worked with nonprofits for decades as an Executive Director, employee, contractor, board member, and committee member. My specialties have been branding, messaging, and (of course) writing.
Myths & Legends of Tea was my first foray into fiction. The Bounds of Magic is my latest, a young adult fantasy book. It’s finished and I’m hoping to see it published soon!
I’ve written hundreds of articles on topics ranging from microelectronics to history to cattle to beer. I’ve been paid for articles in magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, websites, anthologies, and more.
